How do I rent a tent from you? 

The first step is to enquire with us about the dates you're interested in. As our single tent hire option can get busy, we recommend contacting us as early as possible to ensure availability. Once we confirm that we have a tent available for your desired dates, you can proceed to book your pitch. 

How do I book my pitch? 

You will need to book your pitch through the campsite where you plan to stay. We have preferred campsites that we recommend, including Hiden hide away at baxby manor, Masions at appletree, and Rudding Park in Harrogate. These are all beautiful campsites that offer a range of amenities and facilities. We encourage you to check them out and find the one that best suits your needs 

Can I rent a tent for a single night? 

We generally require a minimum rental period of two nights. However, we may be able to accommodate single-night rentals in certain circumstances. Please contact us to discuss your specific needs, and we'll do our best to work with you 

What's included in the tent rental? 

Our tents are Air Tents so easy to put up. We also provide a basic package of equipment for all our tent rentals, but if you need any extras, we have you covered; check out equipment hire. 

Can you set up the tent for me? 

Yes, we offer a set-up service for an additional fee. If you would like us to set up the tent for you, please let us know when you enquire about availability. We'll provide you with a quote for the set-up service based on your specific needs. 

What if I need to cancel my reservation? 

If you need to cancel your reservation, please let us know as soon as possible. Our cancellation policy varies depending on the specific circumstances, but we'll work with you to find a solution that meets your needs. Please note that we may require a deposit to confirm your reservation, and this deposit may be non-refundable in certain cases. 

Can you explain the pitch-up service and the delivery to your door service? 

Of course! We offer two options for getting your tent set up and ready for your camping adventure. The first option is our pitch-up service, where our team will meet you at the campsite and set up the tent for you. This service is available for an additional fee, and it's a great option if you want to relax and enjoy your holiday without worrying about the setup process.

The second option is our delivery to your door service. If you choose this option, we'll deliver the tent to your home or another designated location before your camping trip. You can then set up the tent yourself and take it with you to the campsite. This option is convenient if you want to have everything prepared in advance and don't have to worry about picking up the tent on the way to the campsite.


When do I need to pay for my rental? 

We require a deposit to confirm your reservation, and full payment for the tent rental is due one week before your camping holiday is scheduled to begin. We accept payment by bank transfer or PayPal 

What do I need to bring with me when I pick up the tent? 

When you pick up the tent, we'll provide you with everything you need, including the tent, poles, stakes, and groundsheet. If you've ordered any optional extras, such as sleeping bags or camping chairs, we'll also provide those at the same time. All you need to bring is your camping gear, food, and other supplies you'll need for your adventure. 

What happens when my rental period is over? 

When your rental period is over, you can either pack up the tent yourself and return it to us, or we can arrange to pick it up from you for an additional fee. We'll inspect the tent and all the equipment to ensure everything is in good condition, and we'll return your deposit to you once everything has been checked. 

Do I need to pay a deposit when renting a tent from you? 

Yes, we require a refundable deposit of £150 for all tent rentals. This deposit is to ensure that all equipment is returned to us in good condition and on time. The deposit will be returned to you once all items have been inspected and checked back into our warehouse. Please note that this process can take up to 7 days, especially during our busy summer period. 

How will I receive my deposit back? 

We will return your deposit to the same payment method you used to pay it originally. For example, if you paid your deposit by bank transfer, we'll return it to the same account. If you paid by PayPal, we'll return it to your PayPal account. We'll let you know when your deposit has been returned, and you should receive it within a few days, depending on your bank or payment provider. 

What happens if there is damage to the tent or equipment? 

If there is damage to the tent or equipment, we'll assess the damage and deduct the cost of repairs or replacement from your deposit. We'll provide you with a detailed breakdown of any costs and return the remaining deposit to you. Please note that we reserve the right to charge additional fees if the damage is significant or if any items are missing or not returned on time 

Can I add or remove items from my rental after I've made the reservation? 

Yes, you can make changes to your rental before your camping holiday begins. If you want to add or remove any items, please contact us as soon as possible to let us know. We'll do our best to accommodate your request, but please note that some items may be subject to availability. 

What if I have other questions or concerns?

Can we pick our tent and equipment up from you directly?

Terms & Conditions of Hire of Tents by Tent House Rentals: located at 3 Radcliffe Close, Harrogate.

a. Definitions This Contract governs the hire of tents and goods (“Goods”) between the hirer and Tent House Rentals. Any invalid condition will not affect other conditions and nothing in the Contract limits a consumer’s legal rights.

b. Extent of Contract and Cancellation The Contract is not transferable and becomes effective when Tent House Rentals accepts the hirer's order. Tent House Rentals reserves the right to charge for cancellation and the maximum hire period is 21 days. For longer periods, please contact us.

c. Ownership of Equipment and Goods The equipment remains the property of Tent House Rentals at all times.

a. Basis of Charging The stated hire charges include weekends and public holidays and are based on the length of the Contract. The first day of the hire period begins when the customer receives delivery, and the last day ends when the customer returns the equipment for collection.

b. Transport Charges Delivery and collection, including attempted calls, are chargeable. The hirer will be charged for each journey if the equipment is not available for collection.

c. Cautionary Deposits A cautionary deposit is required before the hire period, and the hirer's credit/debit card details will be needed. Once the equipment is returned in good condition, the credit/debit card details will be securely deleted within 7 working days. If damage is incurred, the repair or replacement charges will be made against the hirer's debit/credit card, as stated in the table below. The hirer will be notified before payment is taken.

d. Upkeep of Equipment The hirer is responsible for sweeping the inside of the tent before taking it down and ensuring it is clean and dry before packing it away. If additional cleaning is required, a charge of £50,00 will be applied.

e. Loss of Equipment Tent House Rentals will consider equipment as lost if it is unavailable for inspection after reasonable notice. The hirer will pay a replacement charge as stated in the table above.

f. Theft of Equipment Theft of equipment must be reported to the police, and the crime reference number obtained. The hirer must notify Tent House Rentals within 48 hours of the theft and write to the address provided.

a. Delivery. Delivery of the order will be made to the hirer's preferred address (home or work) and may be delivered directly to a campsite if agreed. If the hirer chooses to collect the equipment, they must contact Tent House Rentals to arrange.

b. Collection of Hire Orders Collection should be made from the same address as delivery unless agreed. Collection is defined as being on the last day of the hire period and will be made by the courier service.

c. Charges The charges for delivery and collection are as follows: 2-3 man tents: £10 each way 4-5 man tents: £15 each way 6-8 man tents: £20 each way

d. Coverage Tent House Rentals offers delivery and collection with in the Yorkshire region

Pitch up services  for tent house rental at a campsite state that the consumer must sign an inventory and inspect the equipment upon setup by the tent house. If any items or the tent are damaged, the tent house rental has the right to reclaim the appropriate amount to replace the damaged item.

This means that the consumer must take responsibility for their own safety and well-being while using the tent and must follow appropriate precautions such as being mindful of fire hazards and avoiding trip hazards from guide ropes and the tent itself. The tent house rental will not be held responsible for any accidents that may occur while the consumer is staying in the tent. The consumer must also sign an inventory upon inspection of the tent and its equipment, and if any items or the tent itself is damaged, the tent house rental has the right to reclaim the appropriate amount needed to replace it.

The consumer must follow all fire safety regulations both inside and outside the tent. No open flames, such as candles or cooking fires, are allowed near the tent. Food must also be cooked at a safe distance from the tent to prevent any potential hazards. The consumer is responsible for following these precautions to ensure their safety and the safety of the equipment.

All equimtent hire will be used at consumers own risk and tent house rental will not be accountable for any incidents due to using any hire equipment
